Chapter 1102: He wanted to kiss her.
As he inched nearer, their lips were barely apart.
He was about to close the gap- Suddenly, Hadley's eyes snapped open, locking onto his handsface, so close, her gaze sharp and clear. "What are you doing?" Eric faltered, his eyes darting. Eric's whole body stiffened, and his fists curled tight at his sides.
"Eric!" Hadley sensed trouble and quickly grabbed his arm "Don't do e anything you'll regret!" Eric froze, surprise flickering in his eyes. "What do you think I'm going to do?"
"Don't hit him!" Hadley blurted out.
The words flew out of her mouth before she could stop them. She had seen firsthand what he was capable of when he lost control.
"Did I look like I was about to hit him?" Eric's heart ached, and a cold smile tugged at his lips. "Even if I wanted to, would you step in for him?" "I would." Hadley met his gaze, her chin lifted in defiance.
"Hadley?" Eric stared at her, stunned. “After what he did to you-"
